Install the Messenger

The Messenger is the chat window your customers see on your website. You install it once; every change you make in settings appears on your site straight away.

Find your snippet

Go to Settings → Messenger → Install. You will find your snippet and a short guide for each platform: HTML, WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify and Google Tag Manager.

Any website (HTML)

1. Copy the snippet.
2. Paste it just before the closing </body> tag on every page, or in your shared layout.
3. Publish and reload your site. The launcher appears in the corner.

The snippet looks like this (with your own App ID):

Use the plugin — see WordPress and WooCommerce.

Shopify

Add the theme snippet — see Shopify.

Google Tag Manager

1. Create a new tag of type Custom HTML.
2. Paste the snippet and set the trigger to All Pages.
3. Submit and publish the container.

Single-page apps

The Messenger notices page changes in single-page apps by itself, so your team always sees the page the customer is on.

Limit where it loads

Under Settings → Messenger → Security → Allowed websites you can list the domains where the Messenger may load. Leave it empty to allow any website.
