Customize the Messenger
Colors, header, spaces, launcher, texts and features of the chat on your website.
Esta página está en inglés por ahora.
Open Settings → Messenger. Every change appears in the live preview on the right right away; click Save to publish it to your website.
Appearance
- Theme — light, dark or matching the visitor's device.
- Brand color — used for the header, buttons and your messages.
- Header — what the top of the Messenger shows next to the close button: Logo or initial (your logo, or the first letter of your workspace name if you have no logo), Brand name, or Nothing. The close button is always on the right.
- Logo — PNG, JPG or WebP, up to 1 MB.
Spaces
Choose what the Messenger has:
- Home — greeting, recent conversation, quick links, help search and news.
- Messages — the list of the visitor's conversations.
- Help center — articles from your published help center.
The tabs at the bottom appear only when two or more spaces are on. Turn Home and Messages off and the Messenger opens straight into the chat — messaging only, without tabs.
Home screen
Write the greeting and introduction, show your team's avatars and the expected reply time, and add up to 4 quick links (such as order tracking or shipping info). Leave a text empty to use the default text in each language.
Launcher
Pick the icon, color and size, add button text (leave it empty for a round button), the position, and the distance from the edge — useful when the button covers a cookie banner. You can hide the button on phones or while nobody is online.
Features
Pre-chat form, email when nobody is online, rating after closing, file uploads, emoji, voice messages, voice and video calls, typing preview, email transcript and visitor analytics are switched on and off here.
Languages and security
Choose the main language and the enabled languages, and let visitors switch the language. Under Security you can limit the websites where the Messenger loads and require identity verification.
Some appearance options depend on your package; see Packages and usage.
