Voice and video calls

Call a visitor who is on your website, straight from the conversation. Calls are free, need nothing installed and are never recorded.

Start a call

1. Open a Messenger conversation in the inbox. The visitor must be online (on your site right now).
2. Click the phone (voice) or camera (video) button at the top of the conversation.
3. The visitor's Messenger opens and rings. They can answer with voice or video, or decline.

During the call a small panel stays in the corner, so you can keep reading the conversation.

During the call

• Mute your microphone, turn your camera on or off.
• Share screen — you, or the visitor on a computer, can show a screen. Double-click a shared screen to see it full size.
• Hang up ends the call for both sides.

The conversation shows when a call started and how long it lasted.

Good to know

• Calls go directly between the two browsers; when a network blocks that, they pass through our relay server. Shopxare never records them.
• The visitor's browser asks for permission to use the microphone (and camera). Answering a call is their choice.
• Switch calls off under Settings → Messenger → Features.
