Shopxare Mobile and the desktop apps

Shopxare Mobile is the app for you and your teammates. It shows the same inbox as the web, live, and is free on every plan. Get it, and the Mac and Windows apps, from shopxare.com/download.

Sign in

• With a QR code. On the web, open Settings → Security → Shopxare apps and choose Show QR code. In the app, tap Scan QR code and point the camera at it. A code works once and expires after 2 minutes. Never show it to anyone else — it signs in as you.
• With your email and password, as on the web. If your account has two-step verification, the app asks for your code.

Every signed-in phone is listed under Shopxare apps with when it was last active. Choose Sign out next to a phone to remove it — for example if you lose it.

Notifications

The first time you open the app, it explains why it asks to send notifications. In Settings → Notifications you choose, per phone:

• which events reach you: new conversations, customer replies, conversations assigned to you, mentions and SLA alerts;
• the sound: default, chime, pop or silent;
• whether the message text is shown, or hidden so it stays off your lock screen.

Reply from the notification. Long-press (or pull down) a notification, type your answer and send it — without opening the app. Tapping a notification opens that conversation.

Working in a conversation

Reply to the customer or write an internal note, attach photos, and insert a saved reply — variables such as the customer's first name are filled in for you. Type / in the empty message box to pick a saved reply by its shortcut or name. Long-press your own message to copy or delete it — it disappears for the customer too. From the menu you can assign the conversation to yourself, snooze it or close it.

While the app is open, the Messenger on your website shows your team as online. Edit your name and photo under Settings → Profile.

Approve sign-ins with your phone

Once the app is signed in, you can turn on Approve sign-ins under Shopxare apps. Then, when a sign-in needs a second step (a new device, an unusual place or your authenticator code) or you do something sensitive, the browser shows Confirm with Shopxare Mobile and your phone gets a request:

1. The browser shows a number.
2. On your phone, check the browser and country, then tap the same number and Approve — or Reject if it wasn't you.
3. Each request expires after 30 seconds. You can ask for a new one; at most one every 10 seconds is sent.

In the app, under Settings → Security, turn on Require Face ID / fingerprint to approve to be asked for it before each approval.

Can't reach your phone? Choose Can't reach your phone? on the browser page and continue with your authenticator app. If you don't use an authenticator, you can get a code by email instead.

The desktop apps

The Mac and Windows apps open Shopxare in its own window, show native notifications when the window is in the background, put the unread count on the Dock icon on a Mac, remember their size and position, and tell you when a new version is out. Everything else works exactly as on the web.
