Developer Terms
Version 1.4 · effective August 21, 2026
These Developer Terms apply when you use the Shopxare REST API, webhooks, the Messenger JavaScript API, the mobile SDKs, plugins, the MCP server or our documentation (together, the "Developer Tools"). They are part of the Terms of Service. If you build for a Shopxare customer, you use the Developer Tools on that customer's behalf, and the customer remains responsible under its agreement with us.
1. Access and tokens
1.1 API tokens are created in Settings → API by teammates with the developer permission. A token acts as the teammate who created it, within the scopes chosen, and stops working when that teammate leaves the Workspace.
1.2 Keep tokens, Messenger identity-verification secrets and webhook signing secrets confidential. Do not put them in mobile apps, browser code or public repositories. You are responsible for all activity with your tokens; revoke a token at once if it may have leaked.
2. Limits
Requests are limited per token as described in your Plan and returned in the X-RateLimit-* headers. Do not try to get around rate limits, for example by spreading requests over many tokens. We may lower limits temporarily to protect the Services.
3. Your applications
3.1 You are responsible for your applications, their security and their compliance with law, including telling your users how their data is used.
3.2 Use data obtained through the Developer Tools only for the purpose the Workspace authorised, and keep it secure. Delete it when the Workspace asks or when the integration ends, unless the law requires you to keep it.
3.3 Do not use the Developer Tools to: build a competing customer-messaging product from our data or features; scrape or copy the Services; send spam; or access data of Workspaces that did not authorise you.
3.4 You may not imply that Shopxare endorses your application. You may say that it "works with Shopxare" and use our logo following our brand guidelines.
4. SDKs and sample code
SDKs, plugins and sample code may be provided under an open-source licence included with them. Where no licence is included, we grant you a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use and modify them to integrate with Shopxare. Preview SDKs may change without notice.
5. Changes and deprecation
We version the REST API (the current version is v1). We may add fields, endpoints and event types at any time, so build your integration to ignore unknown fields. For breaking changes to a stable version, we will give at least 6 months' notice, except where a change is needed for security or legal reasons.
6. Suspension
We may suspend a token or an application that breaks these terms, harms the Services or other customers, or poses a security risk, with notice where possible.
7. No warranty
The Developer Tools are provided "as is", subject to the warranty and liability terms of the Terms of Service.
